Epic Study On What Men Need To Live A Happy Life

Harvard has just released a new book about a 75-year longitudinal study, which tracked 268 undergraduates. The study’s goal was to determine what factors contribute most strongly to human flourishing. The results suggest that humanity today is pretty far off course. Researchers found that addiction caused the most chaos, illness and unhappiness. They also found that warm relationships with parents and mates were associated with more earning power and happier lives.

Oxytocin May Play a Central Role in Obesity and Metabolic Syndrome

This is interesting, but I'm a fan of "hugs" not "drugs." Endogenously produced oxytocin (i.e., oxytocin produced naturally via affectionate touch, close companionship, etc.) is way cheaper and safer than synthetic oxytocin.  Besides, the endorphins and other neurochemicals associated with bonding are all important, as a symphony.  Kinda like whole foods are better than eating junk food, and taking a vitamin.
