Dr. Oz on ED

Comments: This turned out better than I thought it would. It's clear that all 3 panelists have seen this condition in their practice. The MD's used the right terminology such as desensitization, dopamine, D2 receptors (although much more is involved). They stayed away from the word "addiction" which is good, because

1) I think one can have porn-induced ED without a full-fledged addiction, although brain learning is involved either way

2) it avoids the ongoing argument about porn addiction.

The urologist (Dr Kramer - http://www.umm.edu/urology/ed/implant_ed.htm) does an additional short bit on ED, and again discusses porn-induced ED:

What I didn't like:

1) Ian Kerner (sexologist) giving an infomercial for porn in the last segment. Sexologists cannot help themselves....

2) Not discussing adolescent brains and how starting early on Internet porn is way different than starting at age 35 (perhaps another Dr. Oz show?)

3) Of course all the details that go with #2 - flatline, long recovery period, morphing sexual tastes, etc.

Bottom line - this is really big news because it will go a long way in getting the word out, and maybe preventing the problem. Perhaps this will spark research.
