That misconception seems odd

That misconception seems odd for anyone who has tried to change a habit.

Aren’t we in a way using operant conditioning on ourselves? Lower level sexual/food/other reward makes it easier to condition ourselves in the sense of giving conscious mind more control over other mind? It’s more a function of making more options enjoyable than using control?
