ED drug for young men raises concern among experts

Submitted by gary on

This is the first time I've seen a mainstream article state that porn causes ED. This is big news to us as we battle all the time with doctors that will not take this seriously. Note that the urologist quoted says nothing about porn, and says it's great that they have new drug to prescribe. He's on the manufacturer's (Bayer) payroll. The sex therapist quoted seems to be suggesting porn may be involved with ED. I checked, and it's basically just Viagra with a new name.

This is one of the few authors to actually read several of our articles, synthesize the material, and add their own expert quotes to substantiate the thesis.

Comments: I wonder if any of this translates to humans? What does it mean for guys growing up masturbating to Interent porn? Todays porn use often translates to more masturbation, and long periods of sexual stimuli (edging, viewing).

Strangers can spot oxytocin gene variations when observing conversations

WASHINGTON — People with a certain gene trait are known to be more kind and caring than people without it, and strangers can quickly tell the difference, according to US research published on Monday.

The variation is linked to the body's receptor gene of oxytocin, sometimes called the "love hormone" because it often manifests during sex and promotes bonding, empathy and other social behaviors.

Comments: I'm posting this to remind everyone that connection with others is waht the reward circuitry evolved for. Porn hijacked this circuitry. I'm not suggesting using oxytocin, I'm suggesting doing what nature intended.

Comments: After reading this, you may want to run out and buy maca. Please be aware that it has side effects. I don't believe it was maca that lessened his flatline. It's clear to me that he did pretty well with the reboot because he (age 38) fits the pattern of men who recover in a more linear progression, and in 8 weeks: He's older, and DID NOT start with high speed Internet porn. He started with catalogs. He was 20 before he used Internet porn (18 years ago - obviously dial-up).
