Comments: We long ago thought that the prolactin 2-week prolactin cycle (twice daily surges) seen in rats may occur in humans .This recent study finally confirms that the cycle may occur in human females. This cycle is caused by orgasm in humans, and is the first strong evidence in humans for the post orgasm cycle we write about.

COMMENTS: Dr. Nora Volkow, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse states that food addiction is every bit as real as drug addiction. She makes the point - as we have several times - that enticing junk food can hook a far greater percentage than do addictive drugs.

The link between fast food and depression has been confirmed

According to a recent study headed by scientists from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the University of Granada, eating commercial baked goods (fairy cakes, croissants, doughnuts, etc.) and fast food (hamburgers, hotdogs and pizza) is linked to depression.

Published in the Public Health Nutrition journal, the results reveal that consumers of fast food, compared to those who eat little or none, are 51% more likely to develop depression.
