Nearing another turning point. It's been 11 days since my last pmo. I did come close to what I would call masturbation and promptly stopped. Today is the first day I'm starting to feel "horny" although I know it's just my brain begging for dopamine. I started having flashbacks of sex with my last girlfriend 3 years ago. I took a nap to keep the cravings away and I feel much better. It's a sign of things to come, I'm so stoked!

Does anyone know how long it takes for the dopamine receptors to regrow? Is there anything special I can do or take to increase their number?

but exercise seems to help, cuddling and non-sexual contact with girls, socializing helps it seems. How are you doing on those things?

Emerson pretty much summed it up. The time it takes those receptors to grow for the most part of a very noticable reboot is typically 3 months. After that there's more likely being rebuilt, as I've read accounts of guys feeling even better after the 4th or 5th months than they did in the first 3 months. This initial time paves much of the work.

from what I've read online today there's a few things that help.

1. is a low calorie diet.

2. is exercise

3. is avoiding stimulants

so since I need to lose weight anyway I'll be cutting back massively on my caloric intake, not eating excess sugar and no caffeine, and trying to get to the gym at least a couple times a week.

Hopefully all that will stack on top of my no pmo.

It can be helpful

to find yourself a food that you allow yourself to eat all you want of...such as raw nuts of good quality, or whatever you prefer. That way you never have to deny yourself totally...which can be very tough and depressing.
