Hello ... I'm sorry my problem is somewhat complex.
I'm 24... single.... From Egypt .... Don't have any physical pb .... I had bacterial prostatitis a year ago and with antibiotic course it was gone after a month .... I masturbate (prone position) more than once everyday to porn since I was so young. I suffer sometimes from pressure at work ... Depression and frustration

Two months ago, I lost my virginity with an older woman. I really love her. But the situation was so frustrating. Her in Egypt caught doing sth like this could get you killed .. So I was so afraid. I satisfied her with a strong erection. Then with thinking about people outside, I lost erection inside her and it was hard to ejaculate.

This affected me so much psychologically. After a month from this relationship, I lost night and morning erections. There's no spontaneous erection in the morning. I can't have erection with erotic thoughts as I used to. There's no erection without physical stimulation even when I watch porn. The only difference is that porn gets me erect easily and erection is harder, but i have to stimulate it. I also have to stimulate all the time or I lose it.

I did a penile duplex, Prostate scan and everything is normal

I did a testosterone Level Tese the result is:
Total Testosterone : 4.0 (2.62 - 15.9 ng/ml)
Free Testosterone : 12.9 (10.0 - 40.0 pg/ml)

The blood sample was taken at 10:00 a.m.

My semen analysis is soooooo goooooood. Nothing wrong with it.
many doctor said T Level is normal.

My questions:
1- What's the reason for night erection absence?

2- Do I have Porn-Induced ED? If I have it ... What should I do to be cured and h ow long will it take me to get better??

3- Does The depression I felt after sex caused anything to me?
4- Does the psycholoical factor has sth to do with night erections??
5- Does Porn-Induced ED cause the loss of night erections, loss of spontaneous erection ?
6- DOes T Level is a factor???

7- What's the relation between T Level and Semen? I mean does it affect Semen?

8- All the emotions associated with masturbation were and still fear of disease, loss of ability, loss of God's punishment, guilt lots of it. This is what I feel since I was a child. Here in Egypt, this is forbidden and you can't do it and pray or go to church. Priests used to be upset when they knew or know that I masturbate. So, I used ti hate myself so much cause I can't stop it. Even sometimes I prayed to lose my penis to stop these bad feelings.

9- I used to masturbate to escape my hard reality. I used to be beaten and be an outcast by my Muslim friends cause I am Christian. I suffered; as a result, from Social Phobia. This is my psychological background.

10- NOw I masturbate to test my erection, not to enjoy it. i could do it 5 times a day to be sure that my erection is good. I feel like a machine.... It's like an obsession .. Any help??

I'm so worried ...... Can you help me???

Consciously breathe deeply

Don't despair. To find out if rebooting can help you, you have to try it. It's becoming very common for men to have strong erections to Internet porn, and yet fading erections (or no erections) with real partners.

Fortunately, it seems to be quite reversible. Unfortunately, it takes time.

The obsessive testing is also not unusual...but notice that it doesn't really give you relief for long. This is because it's just a random brain loop firing and telling you a lie, "You can relax if you test and get off all right." That is driving you deeper into your addiction, as it leads to too much stimulation...and the brain changes that make you feel like something is dreadfully wrong...leading to more testing. That kind of obsessive testing is often referred to as OCD.

Have a look at this study on Iranian students. "The effect of psychiatric symptoms on the Internet addiction
disorder in Isfahan’s university students"  http://www.reuniting.info/download/pdf/Isfahan.students.pdf OCD was the most common disorder among Internet addicts. It's not clear if Internet addiction causes it...or just worsens it. But either way, guys report that it often improves as they unhook from Internet porn. It can make the withdrawal agonizing however - as resisting the urge creates enormous stress at first. There are techniques for coping. Some involve turning one's attention to some preplanned activity EVERY TIME the fear / need to test arises. And NOT analyzing or testing at all. For weeks.

Meanwhile, have a look at this page...and all the links at the bottom. You'll see that your erectile problems are not unique, and that recovery is quite common. There is nothing wrong with your penis. http://www.yourbrainonporn.com/erectile-dysfunction-question You English is excellent, so you may be able to watch Gary's presentation about this: http://www.yourbrainonporn.com/erectile-dysfunction-and-porn (There's also a transcript you can translate here: http://www.yourbrainonporn.com/erectile-dysfunction-porn-part-1 - Please note that there are FOUR parts, link to next page at bottom of page)

I'm sorry for what you've been through, and I'm sorry contact with females is so restricted. Are you exercising? Socializing? Learning stress reduction techniques (suugestions here: ♦Solo Tools )? All can help.

Know anything about Gnostic Christianity? It fascinates me.

Thank you

I really thank you, Marnia for your answer and concern.

1- Yes, I've been suffering from this OCDa long time ago with many thoughts, symptoms and fears. I used to test myself for many things like: painful orgasm, penis sensitivity, penis size when erect (took me along time to overcome it after she was fascinated by its size), retrograde ejaculation, premature ejaculation, retarded ejaculation and the list goes on and one. I used to analyze everything, but with brief comfort and relief and the cycle starts again after a short time with the same fear or another one. I decided y cut this vicious cycle starting a week ago.

2- I think this Iranian study applies to anyone who lives in an islamic culture, although I'm Christian but affected by their thoughts and rules which suppresses sexual desire which leads all young men to watch porn instead of having sex.

3- Fortunately, I watched Gary's series about porn addiction. It's six parts and I'm going to see the other episodes about ED. Thank you for the links.

4- I'm teaching English (studied English Literature for 4 years)and taking a TOEFL course for the exam. So, I meet new pp. My job makes me deal with pp and children all the time. Now, we're in the summer vacation, so I decided to work out a week ago and it feels good.

5- No, I don't know about Gnostic Christianity. Please, tell me about it.

Againg I thank you for taking the time to read such along story and rep;y to it. God bless you.

Coptic church teaching

Hello,
I'm curious if you are a Coptic Christian, and I'd like to know what their exact teachings are regarding masturbation. Is there some type of Catechism for Coptics where this subject is brought up?

Thank you

Coptic Church

Hello, shattered. Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I'm a Coptic Orthodox Christian from Egypt. Masturbation is sinful and makes you undeserved of joining communion or even entering the church or the alter especially the day of masturbation. Priests always says: " it's impurity." "It will ruin you." " Don't enter the alter; God could burn you alive." Of course, not all priests think this way, but at least the ones I met in my life.

There are as I told you certain superstitions about it like:
1- it causes blindness, memory loss, weak bones and many other things.
2- They never talk about it in public, only in private.
3- Priests doesn't know anything scientifically or psychologically regarding masturbation or addiction.

This made me feel so ashamed of doing it and ashamed of my horny thoughts. I tried hard to fight the urges, but all was in vain. because of such thoughts and I used masturbation to escape mt reality at this early age. I was so hard for me.

Thank you, Sir for your reply.

Ouch!

Those are terrible thoughts to tell young people. But maybe those for whom excess was a problem were determined to try to help others avoid the same problems. Hence the threats.

Unfortunately, humans don't learn that way. We need facts and information we can test and line up with our own experience. And we need the stories of others.

I wonder if this book would help with OCD? Mind Over Mood I haven't read it, but it gets good reviews from guys here: http://www.yourbrainonporn.com/solo-tools

Gnostic Christianity is apparently very early Christianity, and ancient scrolls about it turned up in Egypt in the 1940s: Info here: http://www.reuniting.info/wisdom/nag_hammadi_sacrament_bridal_chamber Some of the actual texts are here: http://www.reuniting.info/wisdom/sources/gnostic#gnosticgos From what you say, your priests would find it quite heretical.

Congratulations on your great English!
